Since 1956, we have transformed material into language. Seventy years of research, technical expertise
and vision have given rise to a unique way of interpreting Italian eyewear.
To celebrate this anniversary, we have brought together a series of collections that look to the past not
out of nostalgia, but to rediscover the origin of a colour, a gesture and a form of excellence. LA/ES 70 is a
collection that tells the story of who we are and what we do best: transforming material into beauty.
LA/ES 70 is made up of timeless collections that do not follow the seasons; they move through them.
Alongside these, it will welcome new collections more closely connected to the trends of the moment and
will continue to evolve in 2027, because LA/ES exists within that tension between what endures and what
changes, between the stability of material and the restlessness of the contemporary.
Within this vision, a system takes shape and gives structure to the collection: a way of understanding
colour as substance, memory and rhythm. This is where the Iconic Colours become the heart of the
collection.
The first three collections, MILKY, ACATE and IASPIS, are monochromatic and share seven iconic
colours, each inspired by a different hardstone: Jade Green, Malachite Blue, Agate, Garnet, Amethyst,
Carnelian and Quartz.
MILKY, ACATE and IASPIS are three material effects that interact with one another: three effects, seven
colours, a single idea of balance. Together, they create a fluid, combinable and free system.
