Laminati Extruded Thermoplastics S.r.l. (La/Es) was founded in 1956 in Figliaro, Como, as a manufacturer of plastic materials through the extrusion process. Thanks to their technical knowledge, they have specialized in the production of extruded cellulose acetate sheets for the eyewear industry. Acetate, a polymer of natural origin, has proved to be the ideal material for manufacturing eyewear thanks to its versatility and aesthetic performance. La/Es has expanded its offering over the years, including laminates, wet and dry blocking, screen printing and sublimation printing, to meet customization needs and follow fashion trends. They also invested in manufacturing capacity in Asia, acquiring a competitor in Hong Kong and relocating headquarters to China, tapping into China's growing eyewear market.

Eleung was founded in 1986 in Hong Kong as a company specializing in the production and sale of cellulose acetate plates. In 2000, it was acquired by LA/ES, transforming it into an international organization. Today, Eleung is one of the leading suppliers of prestige fashion brands in the world. In 2003, the manufacturing department was relocated to Zhongshan, China, while Hong Kong houses the sales and representative offices. Eleung offers a variety of manufacturing techniques, such as extrusion, lamination, digital printing and blocking. The company combines its long experience with innovation to develop new products that meet customer needs and communicate a commitment to produce unique solutions.
